Swirlygig Quilt Class - Thank you, class is full
This Swirlygig quilt by CuteQuiltPatterns.com measures 76" x 100". It can easily be made smaller, or larger. Class will be done in two parts focusing on cutting and making blocks during the first class and assembly and borders in the second class. This class is great for confident beginners or anyone wanting to brush up on basic techniques. You'll learn a different way to make half square triangles, how to get all of those points to match, and how to be sure your borders lay nice and flat.

| Requirements: | Sewing machine in good working order with new needle and full bobbin installed. Rotary Cutter with new blade and Cutting mat. Rulers: Long at least 8 1/2" x 24", or 12 1/2" square. Small square at least 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" with a diagonal line. Thread for piecing. 50wt suggested in color that works with your fabric. Pins: Long, fine pins work best. Marking Pen. Iron away, wash away or any marking pencil. Basic sewing supplies: small scissors or snips and any other items that make your sewing easier. Iron and ironing mat. We will have a station set up but helpful if you have your own. Small irons work great for class. There is a lot of pressing in this class so having your own will save time. Fabric requirements: Requires a Dark, Medium and Light fabric and a border print. Backing fabric requirements will be provided in the pattern. Dark Fabric (Pink in photo) - 3 1/4 yds Medium Fabric (Green in photo) - 1 yd Light (White in photo) 2 1/2 yds Outside border - 1 2/3 All fabric MUST be pressed before class so we can focus on cutting and making the blocks. Please arrive early for setting up so we can begin class at 10:00. We have a refrigerator and microwave that you may use for lunch. We also have a soda machine with a variety of sodas and water. Any drinks you bring with you must have a spill proof top. No open containers or tops that can come off easily. |
